Hello, there, my fellow Deltas! It is me, *Dlbwck!*
The brothers will be participating in Brotherhood Week next week and wanted to invite the alumni to help them celebrate another successful year as a fraternity.
Alumni are invited to join them from April 28-May 3. Highlights include Mikey’s Pizzeria and Delta Olympics, but alumni are also encouraged to join the brothers for the Night of the Deltas.
In addition, Brotherhood Week is running concurrently with Greek Week, so there will be plenty of activities to support the brothers as they perform with their fellow Greek Life organizations.
The full schedule of events is as follows:
- Delta Olympics on Thursday, May 1 @ 7PM
- “The Night of the Deltas” on Friday, May 2 @ 6PM
- Lip Sync on Saturday, May 3 @ 6PM
- Mikey’s Pizza on Saturday, May 3 @ 7:30PM

Memorial for Mike Reed
In other news, Mike Reed (Class of ’68) passed away April 14th from a stroke. A memorial service was held in Alpharetta, GA where he and his wife, Brandy, had lived for the last 20 years.
A memorial service was held on April 25th in Georgia and because of his local and Linfield connections another service will take place May 3rd, 11:00 AM, at Calvary Baptist Church, 1230 Liberty St. SE in Salem.
Mike was born in Salem and worked for two decades for the Department of Justice, including Deputy Director of the OLCC.
Mike remained committed to the Deltas throughout the years and was the author/architect of the 4 different legal entities that comprise the Fraternity. Because friendship connections were important to him, he was a fixture at Delta Homecoming events for many years, attending the Friday dinners, the annual meeting and the football game.
Mike lived a life of integrity. He had a clear vision of his values and lived according to them. He was a valuable member of whatever community he was a part of, and the Delta Fraternity was blessed to have him be part of our community.
