Bigs and Littles
Top o’ the–wait, it’s nearly no longer March is it? Oh *dlbwck!*
Well, no matter, I’m still your trusty Delta reporter and it’s still nearly April, which means the rush semester is well underway for Delta Psi Delta. Linfield’s oldest *dlbwck!*in’ fraternity has welcomed four members into its Spring ’24 Class and on March 17, they all reached an important milestone to their pledge semester: Big Brothers!
Like any fraternity, the pledges of Delta received a personal guru of sorts to help guide them through the travails of a terrifically turbulent term of tomfoolery, *dlbwck!*
(Editor’s Note: all right, I think that’s enough alliteration out of you, ya smarmy cockerel).
While Delta’s newest class of four has braved the early days of their first semester as pledged members, smooth waters do not make for superior sailors, as they say *dlbwck!* They will need the wits and wisdom of their Bigs as their semester continues.
Below you can see a collection of our pleased pledged members and their even more effervescent elder brothers. Unfortunately, we are missing one pair: Aidan “Aeneas” Paddock and Pledge Jorge. Thankfully, our trusty alumni photographer, Triveckolsbutcherkia, is on the case.
Bigs Barbecue
‘Twas a fair summer’s wind this St. Patty’s Day, when the motley crew of Delta Psi Deltas announced bigs and littles and who was whose *dlbwck!*
But that’s not the only thing that made the day special.
Overseen by the return of a certain Luke “Mr. Chow” Fia (Pledge Class Spring ’17, Grad. 2021), the meeting had a pronounced and prolonged alumni presence as a Dirty Dozen of Delta Alumni descended upon 369 SE College Ave.
Mr. Chow was taking a vacation to visit old friends here in Oregon and, well, he would have been remiss not to take a stop at his hallowed hall of brotherhood. What happened next was equal parts spontaneous, equal parts serendipitous, *dlbwck!*
Led by David “Pulzer” Betts (Pledge Class Fall ’15), otherwise known as El Jefe, the brothers, alumni and special guests came together to crowdfund an impromptu barbecue to celebrate a beautiful day. The menu included burgers and–wait, I can’t be reading this right–chicken?!? *DLBWCK!*
I guess those birds must have been uppity. If you’re keen the see the cookout, look no further than our gallery below!

Initiation Approaches
That’s right! Initiation is on its way *dlbwck!* Are you ready for it? Do you even what day it is?
Join our Facebook Group to see the schedule and plan your arrival. It’s Delta’s 120th Anniversary, which means anything less than 120 alumni means total and abject failure.
Just kidding, *dlbwck!* We hope to see you there.
